Setting Up the New Season
Live events, and anime conventions in particular, are champing at the bit for their eventual return. But this extended interim period is not without opportunity, especially for organizations long in need of a refresh to match their communities’ current tastes and conventions. For Dallas organization A-Kon, one of the most venerable anime conventions in America, the year’s delay in their live events was the perfect time to formulate plans for activations they’d only wistfully dreamed of before… and to refresh the first impressions of a brand that was starting to feel its years.
AOE Creative’s involvement was thorough, ranging from the design of a whole new mascot and convention aesthetic to the formalization of a social media strategy to position A-Kon better in the current environment of public discourse.
